Michal Joyner1st Vice President
I’m thrilled to be returning to my previous job as 1st vice Chair of PVRW. I’ve been an active member of our Club for almost ten years. My primary job will be to provide the programs for members to enjoy at our luncheons. Typically, we concentrate on speakers that educate us on the various aspects of our conservative values and roots during non-election years, and then we concentrate on candidate selection in election years. I commit to diligently working to provide content that makes our luncheons a “don’t miss” meeting each month.
My previous jobs were to serve as the 2nd Vice Chair for the Maricopa County Republicans. This job involved outreach to the 33 Republican Clubs in Maricopa County. I also served as the Data Chair and the Resolution Chair for the County. This job allowed me to work with both Club and Party Chairmen. In addition, I served as a GOP Member at Large.
I also am a board member of the Scottsdale Development Review Board where we review all commercial building and subdivision creation for the City. Before that, I served on the Planning and zoning commission for Chandler for 8 years.
I have 5 children and 4 grandchildren, an amazing husband, and 3 dogs. We love traveling in our travel trailer, and we spend as much time traveling as we can spare.

Mary ReitzSecretary
I was born in South Dakota, the state of “Great Faces--Great Places”. This was my home until graduating from the University of South Dakota where I met my husband who was in graduate school. We have 2 adult daughters/sons-in-law, 2 grandchildren, 2 Shih Tzus, and a new Morkie rescue. Our daughters and families live in the Valley allowing us to spend considerable time together.
After 40 years as a clinical scientist in various locations, I wasn’t ready to retire thus pursued the training and licensing for a Business Broker. I am thankful for the opportunities afforded me living in a country that values freedom.
When moving to Arizona I had an interest in learning about state history and getting involved in politics. PVRW was a great match for I have gained much knowledge over the past several years as a member. I am currently serving as Secretary and Chaplain of the club.

Carol ShedlockTreasurer
Originally from Maryland, Carol also lived in upstate New York, Japan, metro Boston, Long Island, and Silicon Valley before relocating with her husband to Scottsdale in 2019. She holds degrees in electrical engineering and worked in integrated circuit design for more than two decades until retiring when her children were in elementary school. She was later tagged by her church to step in as parish administrator for nine years. Carol looks forward to keeping the PVRW finances running smoothly.

Kim PalzickParliamentarian
Kim is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Arizona’s College of Law. Kim married her law school sweetheart, Dave, and they moved from Tucson to Seattle to practice law. Dave worked as a real estate associate with a Bellevue firm and Kim worked with the in-house counsel team in the real estate department of Nordstrom in Seattle, where she negotiated store and warehouse leases and opened stores in locations around the country including Nordstrom’s Scottsdale and Chandler locations.
Always with the hope of returning to Arizona, when Dave was recruited by a large Arizona firm, Kim and Dave seized the opportunity to come home to raise their family. Kim and Dave have four children: three daughters (in 11th, 9th, and 7th grades) and one son (in 4th grade), who all attend Phoenix Country Day School.
After her father’s passing several years ago, Kim took over the operation of the family farm and cares for her elderly mother, who lives with them. While you won’t find Kim out driving tractors anymore, you might spot her shuttling her kids all over town in her Big Red Ford. Look for her license plate “Arizona MOMFOUR Freedom”!
Kim is honored and excited to serve as the PVRW Parliamentarian.
